How Does MedShield Ascend Work?

Our team of board-certified physicians and advanced clinical practitioners.bring years of experience providing urgent and primary care for adolescents and young adults in outpatient and hospital settings. You can trust their expertise and dedication to health. All care is delivered through MedShield Ascend’s affiliated medical group(s), and providers are selected for their clinical expertise and deep understanding of young adult health needs.

Membership includes direct access to in-house physicians for a broad range of routine and urgent medical concerns. Services are delivered through telemedicine, where permitted, and may include diagnosis, prescriptions, and care navigation. Members receive a Medi-Kit Powered By TytoCare containing cutting-edge medical technology, point-of-care diagnostics tests, specially designed laboratory applicators, and swabs for self-collection and testing. Certain conditions may require in-person care and may not be appropriate for telehealth. Clinical eligibility will be assessed by your provider during intake.

The introductory rate for the first year is $2,388 based on a 12-month minimum contractual enrollment (billed annually or semi-annually). After the first year, the membership auto-renews at the regular annual price of $2,988 unless canceled. The fee includes virtual care access and the Medi-Kit. Pricing is subject to change and will be communicated in advance.

We prioritize privacy and data protection. MedShield Ascend complies with applicable data security laws and uses encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure to protect your information. Health services are delivered by affiliated licensed medical providers, who follow their own privacy practices and comply with HIPAA and HITECH for strict privacy and security, including the confidentiality of SUD records.Please refer to our Privacy Policy and the Notice of Privacy Practices from your Provider for more details. Our servers We also stay updated on all regulatory revisions.

MedShield Ascend does not bill insurance for membership fees. However, many of our services may be HSA/FSA eligible. You may also use your insurance to cover certain out-of-pocket services—such as ECGs, labs, or imaging—if ordered by your MedShield provider and performed at third-party facilities.
